What People are Saying

"By His Hands is a bright light in our community.  Steve Coker understands the homeless and hunger crisis in our community and he acts with conviction.  This organization has truly put a face on homelessness and poverty.  Steve and Susan are lifting up our neighbors in need and walking the walk to help others.  May we all take a lesson from these two remarkable people. By His Hands is changing the landscape of homelessness in Wake County.  I am inspired to follow this example."

• A Night at the Mandolin •

We will be having our first annual benefit dinner in 2014 at Mandolin Restaurant here in Raleigh. It is indeed a priviledge and honor for us, to be able to have this event at one of the finest restaurants in town. I cannot begin to express my heartfelt gratitude to both Lizzy and Sean, who are the owners of Mandolin. They are normally closed on Monday evenings, but they are opening the restaurant for by his hands for this very special gala, to benefit the poor and the homeless. Making their restaurant, and staff available, have only be exceeded by their overwhelming generosity and compassion in partnering with us, to truly step up and make a difference for those in need, and in our own community.

It will be a wonderful evening of cocktails, a silent auction, and a fabulous three to four course dinner & wine pairing. Tickets will go on sale soon, so please check back often.

From Lizzy and Sean:

"We are very excited to be able to partner with Steve & by his hands, and to have the first annual benefit dinner here at our restaurant, Mandolin. We have often spoke about doing something for those in need, especially within our own community. Now that it is a reality, we are so excited that we are taking part and sharing in making a difference for those who are less fortunate and those truly in need. Steve would like to have this event each year at the Mandolin, and nothing could thrill us more."
